As the total number of properties sold in January 2020 increased by 26.8% compared to January 2019, the sales volume did the same, yielding a 34.9% increase. Baldwin REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) reports the total amount of residential active inventory in January 2020 was 2,793 properties compared to 3,027 in 2019.
A total of 492 properties sold last month, compared to 388 in January 2019. Additionally, listings moved off the market faster spending an average of 89 days in active status, compared to 94 days in January 2019.
January’s total sales volume increased almost 35% this year, totaling $158,035,680, compared to $117,184,277 in January 2019. The average sales price of residential properties in Baldwin County increased more than 6% to $321,210, compared with the same period last year. The average sales price was $302,021 in 2019.
